The MP’s wife, who claims to be a victim of the ‘baby reindeer stalker’, revealed last night that she is considering legal action against Fiona Harvey following her controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Laura Wray, 62, is threatening to sue after Harvey claimed on the show (watched by 13 million people) that she was harassed by Mrs Wray.

It comes after Ms Wray exclusively told The Mail on Sunday that Ms Harvey harassed her for five years, resulting in a restraining order being granted at Glasgow Sheriff Court in 2002.

Last night Mrs Wray, widow of former Labor MP Jimmy Wray, said Mrs Harvey made damaging statements during the interview with Piers Morgan.

On the show, Ms. Harvey denied being fired by Ms. Wray at her law firm in 1997 and claimed that she was the one who issued a court order against Ms. Wray.

Last night Mrs Wray said: “I felt Mrs Harvey had slandered me on the Piers Morgan show.” Many of the things she said were completely and absolutely wrong and I would really like to set the record straight. I am now considering bringing a defamation suit against Ms. Harvey.

Last month, The Mail on Sunday told how Mrs Wray was shocked to see her stalker portrayed as the character ‘Martha’ in hit Netflix show Baby Reindeer.

The series, which has accumulated more than 22 million viewers, is based on the experience of Scottish comedian Richard Gadd. Hint at Martha’s previous history of harassment. Gadd’s character is seen searching for her online and finding articles, fictional ones, titled: “Sick stalker attacks lawyer’s deaf son.”

This lawyer is supposedly Mrs Wray, a lawyer in Scotland who has a disabled son, Frankie. Originally a solicitor, Ms Wray met Ms Harvey, who also had a law degree, in 1997 when she was persuaded to hire her for a trial period at her law firm in Glasgow.

Mrs Wray was forced to fire Mrs Harvey, who stalked and harassed her, resulting in the solicitor obtaining an indictment against her in April 2002.

This newspaper has seen the documents asking the sheriff to grant an order and detailing the reasons why Ms Wray asked the court to intervene. These include Ms Harvey reporting Ms Wray to social services for allegedly harming her disabled son.

But Mrs Harvey told Piers Morgan: “She (Mrs Wray) was wrong because I went to the High Court in Edinburgh to get national injunctions and an injunction because I was moving to London anyway.” She then called it “nonsense” that a provisional injunction had been granted.

Last night Mrs Wray said: “What he said is wrong and has been heard by millions of people.” It is inaccurate and false.”
