Motorist killed in horror car flip just weeks after another driver died on the remote stretch of road

A man died in a car accident on the Snowy Mountains Highway in Talbingo, about 55 kilometers south of Tumut, on Friday morning.

One man has died and another has been injured after a horror crash in which a vehicle rolled onto its roof on a New South Wales highway.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on the Snowy Mountains Highway in Talbingo, a small town about 55 kilometers south of Tumut, on the edge of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, about 11am on Friday.

The vehicle was traveling northbound when it left the road and flipped its roof.

The male driver died at the scene.

He has not yet been formally identified, but is believed to be in his 40s.

A male passenger believed to be in his 30s was treated by paramedics for injuries to his abdomen and arm and was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers remain at the scene of the accident and investigations continue.

Earlier this month, a 60-year-old woman died after her motorcycle crashed at Kiandra on the Snowy Mountains Highway.

His motorcycle left the road at around 10.40am on Sunday 3 November and fell down a small embankment.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics and airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.

He later died from his injuries.
