A man and a woman have been accused of car theft after they allegedly came to the court in Adelaide in the stolen vehicle.

The police saw the blue Holden sedan parked Tuesday afternoon in a fast food parking garage near the Christies Beach Magistrates Court with checks showing that it had been stolen about a week ago.

The alleged driver, a 34-year-old Whyalla man, had just gone to court for charges of illegal use of a motor vehicle.

He and his passenger, a 23-year-old Whyalla Stuart woman, were both arrested and accused of illegal use of a motor vehicle.

The driver was also accused of driving while being disqualified and being detained awaiting a new performance on Wednesday.

The woman received a bail on August 29 to appear in court.
