A motorcyclist has suffered multiple fractures and will need surgery after a gruesome collision with a ute that sent him flying across a highway.
The cyclist’s dashcam caught the shocking moment on camera as he rode along a road in Mount Waverley, southeast of Melbourne, last Monday.
Vision of the incident was uploaded to social media on Thursday with the motorcyclist asking other motorcyclists to be safe on the roads.
I survived the accident. I had a lot of fractures and I needed surgery,” he said.

“It looks like the bike was going faster like most do on an empty street, not saying it’s the bike’s fault,” said one commentator.
“Unfortunately other road users don’t always see bikes and cyclists come second,” wrote another.
