A mum-to-be has bid farewell to the idea of being ‘childless’ by posing for a funeral-themed maternity photoshoot.
Cheridan Logsdon, 23, from Frankfort, Kentucky, went viral after sharing portraits of herself in a black strapless dress paired with pearls, a crown of black roses and a sheer veil.
She was photographed dabbing her eyes with a tissue as if she were attending a funeral, but she wasn’t mourning a loved one.
Logsdon showed her black and white ultrasound in the photos to announce that she is expecting her first child – and will no longer have her freedom.

The mom-to-be took to Facebook to share portraits of herself in a black strapless dress teamed with pearls, a black rose crown and a veil.
Logsdon was pictured dabbing her eyes with a tissue as she mourned the loss of her freedom
“RIP to being childless!” » she wrote in the Facebook caption. “At the age of 23, the young and rich aunt finally became a mother.”
One photo shows her in the woods with a black leather jacket over her shoulders and her veil covering her face as she holds her ultrasound scan.
In another, she stands in a studio and wipes away an imaginary tear with her perfectly manicured finger.
A more artistic photo shows her walking through the woods with her hand at her side, her ultrasound facing the camera.
Logsdon made it clear in the caption that she was excited to become a mom and that the funeral-themed photo shoot was done in jest.
“All joking aside, I’m really excited to start this new chapter in my life! I still can’t believe it, but it’s getting to me more and more, iykyk,” she wrote.
She concluded her post by telling her family and friends to “save the date” for her gender reveal on October 8.
Logsdon’s photos have been shared 11,000 times and received 14,000 reactions since they were posted on September 17.
