A mother who was arrested at a car wash after an altercation over $10 worth of wipes screamed, “help me, I’m black” as police officers handcuffed her.
Erica LeMieux, 46, was accused of stealing the items from the Clean Express Auto Wash in Elyria last year, and body camera footage of the incident surfaced this week.
Staff called police after the mother allegedly became aggressive and swore at an employee.
When officers arrived, they attempted to reason with LeMieux and asked him to leave.
However, the mother refused and a struggle ensued which resulted in her arrest.
Bodycam footage shows police speaking with car wash staff, who said they gave LeMieux six packs of complimentary wipes before she demanded more.
When they refused, she allegedly took some and left without paying.
As police approached, LeMieux could be seen vacuuming her car and barely looked up as they tried to talk to her.
Erica LeMieux is seen protesting with a police officer after being arrested for stealing wipes from a car wash.

LeMieux was also filmed claiming that her arrest would jeopardize her daughter’s safety since there would be no one to pick her up from school.
After staff confirm that they do not want to press charges, an officer informs LeMieux that she has to leave the facility or she will be arrested for trespassing.
When she refuses and claims that she is not trespassing, the officer informs her that her car wash subscription has been cancelled.
“They can’t do it without prior notice,” the woman says incredulously. ‘I just bought a wash, so unless I get my money back right now…’
The officer again asks him to leave and explains the situation, but LeMieux refuses to budge and begins to get into his car.
At that point, the officers inform him that he is under arrest and begin trying to put handcuffs on him.
‘Don’t touch me, I’m not under arrest!’ LeMieux screams as he begins to struggle and scream.
As they continue fighting, she screams: ‘Help me, I’m black and you’re hurting me.’ I am black. Stop pulling me!’
The officer warns her to comply or he will have to use his Taser, but the woman continues screaming and squirming.

LeMieux was charged with criminal trespass, obstruction of official business and resisting arrest.
She falls to the ground and continues to scream “help me” as they continue to fight.
They finally manage to handcuff her and she begins to complain that they are hurting her wrist.
“I have carpal tunnel,” she sulks as she is placed in the back of the police car and insists she did not resist arrest.
LeMieux then begins to worry that his things will be stolen and tells the police that he has to pick up his daughter from school.
“You leave my youngest abandoned, she’s waiting for me to pick her up,” LeMieux protests. ‘My things are exposed!’
“Well, we’ll lock it,” the officer responds before slamming the door shut.
The video shows LeMieux continuing to complain all the way to the Lorain County Jail.
Once there, he further annoys the officers by taking a phone call from his daughter’s school on his Apple Watch.
LeMieux suggests that the officers’ lack of concern for her daughter is insensitive and takes no responsibility for the behavior that got her in trouble.
They are forced to tell the woman on the other end of the line to hang up so they can finally book her into jail.
She was charged with criminal trespassing, obstruction of official business and resisting arrest in the April 9 incident.
