The mother of a primary school boy who fought for life screamed for her son after being hit by a $ 80,000 Audi SUV that got out of hand.

The boy, eight, and his father, 40, were hit while using a pedestrian crossing in Neutral Bay, on the north coast of Sydney, just before 9 am on Wednesday.

The pair was at a crossroads on Bydown St, near Neutral Bay Public School, when they were hit by the black Q5 SUV.

After the pedestrians were mowed, the car then hit four parked vehicles before it came to rest against the wall of a building, with one of the front wheels missing.
