  • An Australian mom has shown off her incredible master bedroom transformation
  • Joanna, 32, proudly showed off before and after photos of her bedroom
  • She said the area was used as a ‘dump’ but is now a relaxing space

A mother revealed how in just four hours she cleared up ‘the mess’ in her house – and made the most of four hours of being ‘free’ while her children were in daycare.

Joanna, an Australian mother of two, was impressed by her efforts to ‘turn chaos into peace’ in her home – noting that the master bedroom had been used as a ‘dump’.

‘Let me tell you, this was not relaxing,’ said the 32-year-old as she shares pictures of her room with her blog.

She admitted that the door of her and her husband’s bedroom was “childproof” and had become a storage space for anything they wanted to keep out of the reach of their two- and four-year-old children.

“I literally took everything out of the room, except furniture, and piled it all over the rest of my house,” she said.

She said it was the first time she had been so ruthless, but it was “totally worth it.”

“I’ve removed a quarter of a garbage can full of trash and packaging and filled my trunk with store donations,” she boasted.

Since everything had been taken out of the room, she took the opportunity to move the furniture to ‘better places’.

‘I love this room now, it’s such a relaxing space,’ she wrote in a blog post about the huge job.

And others were just as impressed with the tremendous effort.

‘Wow, you must have been exhausted when you finished, proud but exhausted. Well done, ”said a mother.

“Looking good, I bet you feel better,” added another.

Others warned her that being organized “becomes addictive.”

“The real challenge will be to keep it that way and not let clutter come back,” she wrote.
