A 32nd woman labeled ‘fat’ by her boyfriend has revealed how she lost half her body weight and found love with a supportive new man.
Angela Snagg, 32, from Liverpool, Merseyside, who wore her heaviest size 30, started piling up nine years ago after becoming pregnant with the first of her two children.
The mother of two admits to getting into bad habits, downing up to three times a week mocking takeaways and downing six bottles of wine a weekend.
At the time, she was in a relationship with a man who told her she was so fat that no one else would want her.
Angela dropped the boyfriend in June 2018 and used it as an opportunity to rethink her lifestyle. Now a size 16, she eats healthy and goes to the gym six times a week.
She is also engaged to Gary, 30, who she met when he lived next door.

Angela said, “I’m so proud of myself and when I look in the mirror, I have a hard time believing it’s real. It’s not until I look back at old photos that I really realize how far I’ve come and feel great.
‘For a long time I felt so worthless because of my previous relationship, I never thought I would ever meet someone who really loved me.
“But Gary has known me since I was tall, so I know he loves me for who I really am, and he doesn’t care how tall I am.”
Angela continued: “I was a bit overweight after having the kids, but it just got out of hand.

‘I used to eat to comfort myself, it was like trying to escape or fill the void in my life. I always ate anything I could get my hands on.
‘I had Chinese take-out or pizza three times a week and drank a lot too.
‘On a weekend my mom had the kids and I drank a lot, I could easily go through four bottles of wine a night or ten cans of beer on my own.

In January 2019, the new single 6ft 1in brunette started to change her life for the better and began her weight loss journey by signing up for a charity boxing match after her aunt Elaine was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Three months later, Angela had won the fight and dropped to 23rd place, but determined to keep up the good work, she continued the rigorous training schedule by hitting the gym six times a week – and even trains to PT to become.
