She’s putting the miracle in the miracle of life: after getting pregnant with less than a one percent chance of success.
Mother-of-two Victoria Wood from Texas was stunned when she began experiencing familiar pregnancy symptoms, despite her husband Will having a vasectomy in October 2023.
The couple, who welcomed their second daughter in 2022, felt their family was complete with four members, but are now preparing to expand with another little girl.
“Will is a rule follower to the letter,” Victoria explained in a now-viral TikTok video. “And he attended all of his follow-up appointments (after his vasectomy) and then he also had a sperm analysis in January of this year, and the result was zero.”
Victoria, who shares daughters Luna and Laney with her husband, explained that when she missed her period in April, she immediately knew something was wrong and asked her husband to buy her a pregnancy test.

Although her initial reaction was understandably one of confusion because he’d had a vasectomy, she insisted that he buy it anyway.
“(I said) I know, but my body feels weird,” Victoria said.
“(The test) is positive,” she says. “I’m freaking out, he’s freaking out, it’s a whirlwind of emotions.”
‘The urologist reported that in seven years of performing surgeries, this was the first time this had happened to him and he requested another sperm analysis, which also came out zero.
“Now, the urologist says that if your wife tests positive on a pregnancy test, she has an underlying disease. She is either one or two years pregnant, or she has a tumor or cancer or some underlying disease,” he recalled.
“I’m freaking out, I’m crying right now,” she admitted. “He’s recommending that I make appointments with all these specialists for follow-ups and I’m trying to get an appointment, but they’re telling me it’s not an emergency,” she shared.
Worried, Victoria and her husband went to the emergency room to find out what was happening, where they did an ultrasound and a baby could be seen.
During the car ride home, she said her husband dismissed the idea that she would ever cheat on him.
Will’s urologist reported that in the seven years he’s been performing the surgeries, this is the first time this has happened to him, and ordered another sperm analysis, which still came back with zero.
The couple is now preparing to add another girl to their young family.
“There’s no way I cheated on him,” she said. “(But I tell him) for his peace of mind, do you want me to take a paternity test?”
Will assured her that he believed her and that he did not want her to take a prenatal paternity test that cost between $1,600 and $2,000.
Victoria said that while they are still coming to terms with the situation, they have started telling their families, who are “excited and happy,” although confused about how it happened.
“The next day, Will’s mom asked me if we could talk privately. She took me into the room and basically asked, ‘Are you willing to take a paternity test?'” Victoria shared.
Although she felt devastated at the time, Victoria said she understood her mother-in-law’s situation and agreed to get tested.
“I take a paternity test and, of course, it’s Will’s,” she confirms. “We’re expecting our third baby in December of this year.”

“I had a pregnancy after a tubal ligation. It’s less than one percent here too! I did a paternity test on my daughter to make sure she’s mine,” shared another.
“MIL worked with a man who had six children. They had three, she got her tubes tied, got pregnant with the fourth, he had a vasectomy (with all the follow-up checks) and she got pregnant with twins,” another person commented.
One of Michelle’s followers revealed that she had almost “the exact same story.”
“Our vasectomy baby was baby number one. I got pregnant 10 months after my husband’s vasectomy. He’s almost two years old now and we never heard back,” they said.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, Vasectomy is one of the best ways to prevent pregnancy.
Most reports indicate that after a vasectomy a couple has less than a one percent chance of becoming pregnant.
