A mother of four lost the 6th in less than a year after being deeply ashamed at her mother's funeral.
Paula Denyer, 47, from Wells, Somerset, tipped the scales on 19 stone and had pushed herself into a size 24 black dress to mourn her mother during her funeral in August 2017.
She was already upset and devastated when her meter pulled her aside and said: & # 39; Have you ever thought that you would look as good as your daughter if you only lost some weight? & # 39 ;
The moment led Paula to change her life and she became sixth in less than a year. Now she only weighs 13 pounds and fits in a size 16 dress.

Paula, a personal assistant, said: “I was really hurt by the comment and was really surprised.
& # 39; My meter had always been very blunt, so this wasn't new to her, but I didn't think she would say anything like that at the funeral.
& # 39; I was devastated after my mother died after having had a long, two-year battle with a brain tumor.
& # 39; The whole test left me extremely low, and I also had knee surgery that really made me inactive, so I went to food like a crutch, that's why I got the weight I did. & # 39;

A few months later, Paula made the decision to start the Cambridge Weight Plan 1: 1 diet that helped her shed nearly a third of her body weight in less than a year.
Paula said: & I knew I had to lose weight, but my godmother's remark was a huge incentive for me to change anything.
& # 39; I was ashamed of my weight, but I didn't know how to handle it – I would actually become addicted to food.
& # 39; I hadn't thought of participating in a weight loss program until I met a friend who had lost a lot of weight due to the 1: 1 diet, so I decided to look at it myself and the rest is history. & # 39;
After years of eating sweets and cakes, Paula decided to go on a diet and dropped six stones a year and four clothing sizes. Shown before the weight loss

Paula, who describes herself as an extrovert and social character, noticed that she became a cover of the person she once was because of her low self-esteem caused by her weight.
She added: “It was a vicious circle of overeating, hating myself to eat and then eating again to comfort my self-loathing and low self-esteem — I was at a low point.
& # 39; I hid myself, often refused to attend social functions, and covered my growing figure with larger clothing. & # 39;
& # 39; It was hard but I somehow succeeded.
& # 39; I saw every obstacle as if it was a challenge. Birthday cakes, weddings, summer vacations didn't even stop my weight loss.

& # 39; At those birthday parties I didn't even pick the crumbs from the used knife, let alone have a real slice! & # 39;
Paula set her family down to talk to them before embarking on her weight loss journey and said that her four children, Beatrice, 16, Gabriel, 14, Magnus, 12 and Alfred, ten, were all exceptionally supportive alongside her husband Sam, 46.
& # 39; I couldn't have done it without the help of my family – I just had to explain to them why I wouldn't eat the same meals as they and so.
& # 39; They always asked how my way had gone and left me notes in the house to congratulate me.
& # 39; After my weight loss, I enjoy family reunions so much more because I feel much more comfortable in my skin!
& # 39; As soon as I dropped a dress size, people noticed that, and that just spurred me on.
& # 39; My smile came back and has stayed back ever since.
& # 39; Even my daughter thinks I did incredibly well and she is really proud of me. & # 39;
