Mother leaves her newborn baby in a garbage can before she drives off on a motorcycle in Thailand … but gets caught by CCTV
- The woman, named Waraporn (29), gave birth to the baby boy on Wednesday morning
- She hid the baby behind an industrial trash bin after she said she couldn't afford it
- But she was caught on CCTV footage and let the police know what she had done
This is the shocking moment that a mother dumps her newborn baby in a garbage can before she drives off on a motorcycle in Thailand.
The woman, named 29-year-old Waraporn, gave birth in her apartment in Samut Prakan on Wednesday, but soon looked for a place to leave the child.
CCTV recordings caught her on a motorcycle in a nearby town – with another of her children in the footwell – and parking in front of an industrial trash can.
She is seen as she gets off the engine with a black package before falling behind a garbage can.
Waraporn then drives away while a pedestrian by the tank does not notice the baby boy.
The child was left in the heat for about four hours until a garbage collector came to collect the garbage and found the baby still alive in a gray bag.
The newborn was wrapped in a towel with clothes and still attached his umbilical cord.
The man then called the police and the rescuers, who brought the child to the hospital in Sampran.

Police from the Pho Kaew district police station began investigating and studying the CCTV, which led them to Waraporn.
The young mother was found suffering from an unhealthy birth, languishing, cramping and bleeding excessively.
The police took her to the hospital where she admitted that she had given up her own child, because she already had four children and that a fifth was too many.
She claimed she didn't have enough money for food and milk to feed all her children.
Abandoned: the woman hides the package with the small child behind the industrial bin in Thailand. The baby was not discovered for hours
Caught: Warapan is spoken by the Thai authorities after the police have followed her with the help of CCTV
Waraporn said: & # 39; My husband is a driver in another province. He only earns 10,000 baht (£ 251 or $ 318) per month, which is not enough to raise a large family.
& # 39; I got him in the toilet and I had to cut the umbilical cord myself before leaving the baby in the Sampran district.
& # 39; I didn't want to kill him. I left him there and hoped that someone would find him and look after him.
& # 39; I was afraid someone would see me, so I left quickly. I regret what I did. & # 39;
Police said the mother had been accused of giving up a child under the age of nine.
Recovered: the baby boy, who was born only last Wednesday, survived leaving
