A mother was scolded by the police after leaving three children in an SUV on a 30C day while she went shopping.
Dramatic footage was captured when the police confronted the woman when she returned to the underground parking garage on Belmore Road in Riverwood in southwest Sydney on Tuesday.
A witness saw a nine-year-old boy and two four-year-old boys in the car and called the police. Allegedly they stayed in the vehicle for more than an hour.

“Why did you leave the children in the car?” said a policeman. ‘You have three children in the car on a 30C day!
‘It is ridiculous!’
The boys were taken out of the car and taken to Hurstville police station, where family and community services were informed.
They were not injured.
“Officers were present and attempts were made to locate the parents unsuccessfully in a nearby mall,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“While she was checking on the spot, the children’s mother returned to the vehicle and spoke to the police.”
There are no costs involved and investigations will continue.
No costs were incurred after the incident and the police say the investigation will continue
