Mother and friend accused of killing daughter 4 after she is found covered in bruises and bites

A Wisconsin mother and her boyfriend have been accused of killing her four-year-old daughter after the little girl’s corpse was found covered in bruises and human bite marks.

Autumn Horak was found Friday morning in her home on Montana Avenue, South Milwaukee, “free from breath and not breathing.”

Autumn’s mother, Christina Collado, 21, and her friend, Jerome Millen, 22, are now being accused of causing her death after the little girl was “tortured completely for a period of months” by Millen, prosecutors said.

On Friday around 7 a.m., the police were called to the building not to let the four-year-old respond.

She was declared dead on the spot.

Officers said the little girl only wore a diaper and was covered with bruises on her jaw, head, forearm and breastbone.

She also had “what looked like a human bite mark” and a burn.

The child’s mother told officers that she had put Autumn to sleep on Thursday evening and that Millen did not respond the following morning.

Millen, already known to local agents, had fled the scene before officers arrived, but was tracked down to a friend’s house and arrested, according to police reports.

When officers told him that Autumn was dead, the suspect reportedly said, “So my life is over.”

He admitted that he had repeatedly abused the little girl and admitted that prolonged, horrific abuse had “killed” her, the report said.

“If all the injuries (the child) have caused, it is my fault, my fault,” he said, according to the report.

Millen (above with Collado) confessed that he had repeatedly abused the little girl. “If all the injuries (the child) have caused, it’s my fault, my fault,” he said, according to the police report. The night before autumn was found dead, Millen hit her repeatedly, covered her mouth several times and held a pillow over her face to smother her, he admitted to officers

The night before autumn was found dead, Millen hit her repeatedly, covered her mouth several times and held a pillow over her face to smother her, he admitted to officers.

Reportedly, he also said, “If she suffocated, that’s my responsibility and I killed that child.”

An autopsy declared death a suffocation murder.

Collado put the blame for her daughter’s death on her boyfriend and said she had seen him physically abused many times, including seeing him at the four-year-old on two different occasions.

She said she saw him beat the little girl’s head to the floor the night before her death, the police report said.

However, she admitted that if she had protected her daughter, she would still be alive, the report said.

“If she protected (the child) well, (the child) would still be alive,” she told officers.

Family members also told the police that the victim had led a campaign of physical violence through Millen.

Millen is accused of physical abuse of a child that leads to death, with a maximum penalty for life in prison.

Autumn’s mother Collado is accused of chronic neglect of a child resulting in death and is facing up to 60 years in prison.

They appeared in the court of Milwaukee County on Tuesday.
