According to Rachel, one of her most important tasks during school holidays is to ensure that there is enough food in the house for her 10 children.

The mother of 10 told Mamamia that the average weekly shopping list of the family is around $ 350.

& # 39; We love to shop at Coles and get most of our items from the weekly offers & # 39 ;, she told the publication.

Rachel indicates preferring to shop online and to follow the & # 39; click-and-collect & # 39; option, as this will not increase costs.

When it comes to cooking, Rachel said she usually & # 39; three types of meals & # 39; has at dinner - all designed to satisfy different taste buds and appetite (some children have introduced themselves)

& # 39; They are thrown into dishes by mum or dad, helping to style yourself with all the food in the middle of the table, and once a week we do & # 39; make your own dinner & # 39; so mom and dad get the night off and the kids can eat whatever they want from dinner in the pantry / freezer / leftovers, & she said.

She said that dinner time is a laid-back affair, with some people scattered around the kitchen and dining area.

She said some of their favorite things to do are Family Master Chef, shopping, walking, and visiting their father at work.

All children are also required to help with the chores, and in general, Rachel said, each child will do one chore a day – which they choose from the & # 39; family command center & # 39 ;.

The & # 39; family command center & # 39; is a whiteboard on which odd jobs are written. When they are ready, they are rubbed off.

A typical job is to remove the waste or vacuum the floor.

Every second Saturday there is also a & # 39; team clean & # 39; – with the entire Martin family coming in and working together, quickly cleaning the house & # 39; in about an hour & # 39 ;.
