A mother has recalled the horrifying moment she allegedly realized the door of a Ferris wheel was “open” while riding the attraction with her young son.
Chloé Hennessey, 29, decided to take her two-year-old son Wolf to Adventure Island theme park in Southend-on-Sea last weekend, when she claims the ‘City Wheel’ gate opened.
The mother, from London, alleges her son saw the problem while the couple were high in the sky and she captured the terrifying moment on video.
The clip shows Wolf as the Ferris wheel begins to rise, and then appears to point out that the carriage door is not closed.
Then Chloé gasps and pushes the two-year-old away from the door.

She claims she was forced to keep the door closed as the wheel reached a height of 36 feet, with the couple on board for about 15 minutes.
MailOnline has contacted Adventure Island for comment.
“My heart literally skipped a beat and I instantly felt nauseous and filled with anxiety and fear,” she said.
“I tried to stay as calm as possible with Wolf, otherwise it could have been a lot worse.”
When the wheel finally descended, Chloé was able to catch the attention of a staff member.
She claims that after showing them that the door wasn’t closed properly, they rushed to let her and Wolf out of the game.
Chloé said: ‘They could see she was shaking and had been crying.
“The staff recommended that I report it to customer service, which I did.”
