The top 100 baby names in Australia for 2024 have been revealed and, while Isla topped the list for girls, Oliver emerged as number one for boys for the 11th year in a row.

McCrindle Research released its annual report on baby names and this year there were some surprising changes.

Some nicknames like Miles and Lottie hit the top 100 for the first time, while others fell out of favor among Australian parents, including Jaxon and Claire.

For the boys, Oliver has continued his 11-year reign at number one, while Noah returned to second and Henry was third, moving Leo down one spot to fourth.

The top 10 boys were shuffled and no new names entered the list.
