Fans reacted on Twitter with horror after former Strictly Come Dancing pro Janette Manrara’s foot came into contact with the doggy while she was making a spin with her husband Aljaž Škorjanec.

Luckily for dog lovers, it was soon revealed that Dolly was all right, with Dr. James Greenwood who confirmed she “happy enjoyed a chewing stick” after the scare.

Fortunately, a BBC sound supervisor who was in the gallery while filming reassured users that the dog was okay after the accident, tweeting: ‘No dogs were injured on that programme! Dolly was all right after some treats!’

Dr James, who is a regular on Morning Live, also wrote: ‘Thank you – yes she’s all right! Getting stuck in a chewing stick on the way home!’

In January, Morning Live filming was moved from London to Salford, as part of the BBC’s new plans to move 400 jobs from the capital to cities such as Leeds, Cardiff and Glasgow.
