The Rich Kids Of Beverly Hills alum, 35, explained toward the beginning of the clip that she and her family are safe, but reflected on how “unfathomable” thousands of people “lost everything.”
However, some fans were quick to notice in the comments section how the star filmed the video while sitting near an array of expensive Birkin bags, with one social media user calling the background “horrendous.”
Stewart said he intended to share a different video for the new year before the catastrophic wildfires began, which have since destroyed more than 12,000 structures and claimed the lives of 11 people as of Friday, according to NBC.
The star, who is married to Dr. Phil’s son Jordan McGraw, said “what has happened in the last two days is the most horrible thing I have ever experienced.”
And luckily I’m safe, my family is safe. Last night we received an evacuation notice, but the people who have lost everything is horrible, really horrible.”

The catastrophic fires started earlier this week on Tuesday amid strong Santa Ana winds and have claimed the lives of 11 victims as of Friday, according to CNN.
More than 100,000 people still face evacuation orders across Southern California as infernos like the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire continue to burn.
More than 10,000 structures have been destroyed since the fires broke out, including homes, churches and schools.

However, other celebrity homes survived, with James Woods revealing on Friday that his home had not been burned after believing it had been destroyed just days earlier.
An outbreak of the Palisades Fire broke out on Friday, affecting areas such as Encino and Tarzana.
