Disturbing drone footage from a popular Australian beach captured the moment a marauding shark approaches within meters of unsuspecting swimmers.
The difficult moments were filmed with a drone at Whitfords Beach in the north of Perth, Western Australia, a location known for tiger shark sightings.
The shark swam close to a father and his two children in the waves, before a surfer spooked it and headed into deeper water.
In another incident, the shark came within four meters of an unsuspecting swimmer before suddenly veering off.
The images were captured by a photographer and drone operator known on Instagram as Wanderlust_flyer.
“Unfortunately, sharks get such a bad rap because of rare attacks,” the account captioned the post on Thursday.
‘When in reality we most likely swim with them every day without knowing it. We love our sharks.’
The photographer added that if they saw a shark they would notify the lifeguards and they would run to the beach to get everyone out of the water.

The shark also came within about four meters of an unsuspecting swimmer in north Perth.
It comes after a three-metre tiger shark was spotted off Brighton Beach, near Perth, causing hundreds of swimmers to flee.
The Western Australian government has funded new shark nets and urged beachgoers to keep an eye out for sharks. A new beach enclosure at Bathers Beach in Fremantle is expected to be installed in February.
