A mom has revealed her trick for keeping apple slices fresh all day — and it doesn’t change the way they taste.
The mother soaks her children’s apple slices in apple juice for a few minutes before placing them in a zip-lock bag.
“Make sure the juice gets on both sides of the apple slices,” she said.

She also shared a photo of day-old sliced apples looking freshly sliced, proving her method is effective.
She said the other trick is to squeeze lemon juice onto the apple slice, but cautioned that they tend to taste sour.
And it looked like her handy hint was a welcome one, with thousands of moms eager to respond to the post.
Mom said she prefers soaking apples in their own juice because lemon juice makes them sour
“Why did I never think to try this, thank you,” said one woman.
But others weren’t convinced that “loading fruit with sugar” was best.
“Honestly does the same as covering them with water, I have no problem with tanning,” said one mother.
Others agreed that lemon juice diluted in cold water works well and because it is watered down, it is not acidic.
One woman said any liquid works because it “seals the sides and stops the oxidation process.”
