This is the moment two men robbed a postman in broad daylight and held a gun to his head in a brazen robbery on a sun-drenched street.

The terrifying incident took place around 4:30 pm on Monday in Dublin, California, when two masked robbers ran towards a postal worker as she was placing items in a mailbox.

One of the unidentified robbers held a gun to his head as they snatched the mail from his hand before fleeing with the keys to the mailboxes and his phone.

The 63-year-old postal worker, who wished to remain anonymous, said KTVU he is afraid to return to work because of the incident.

“I thought he was going to shoot me when he was done, but in my mind I’m thinking keep calm, stay calm, stay calm,” he said.

Video of the traumatic encounter shows the unsuspecting employee placing mail in a mailbox while her truck is parked behind her.

The two suspects then sneak up behind the truck and approach her.

One of them grabs her by the waist as she screams, while the other comes up behind him.

A man points a gun at his head and begins to check the mail in his hand, while the other stands nearby.

He then hands the keys to the man with the gun before the three of them head to the truck while forcing him to give them his phone.

One of the thieves sticks his head into the truck to watch while the other stands behind him and looks around the area. Seconds later, the armed robber pushes her out of the truck before re-entering, grabbing her keys and running off with her accomplice.

The video ends with the employee standing alone, her face in shock as she tries to understand what happened.

“Somebody came up behind me and boom, he just hit me and put a gun to the back of my head,” he said.

‘And he said, “Give me your keys, you don’t want to die, do you?”‘

The employee said the thieves gave her two minutes to take her phone and keys.

After the robbery, the employee went to a neighbor’s house for help and called 911.

Although she did not suffer any physical injuries, she was left emotionally and mentally scared.

“It’s been so hard, I mean, it’s like I can’t sleep, I can’t think, I mean, it’s like my heart is pounding,” she said.

The employee said she received help from a psychiatrist to deal with the trauma. She told KTVU that she worked for the US Postal Service for 33 years and that she planned to retire in about a year and a half.

The employee said she wants to go back to work and believes her love for the job will inspire her to return.

“I love my clients, I like to serve them,” he added.

A neighbor captured video of a blue sedan driving to and from the crime scene that could belong to the suspects. The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for any information that may lead to the arrest of the two thieves.
