Shocking moment when a young man jumps onto the train tracks at London’s Thameslink while on the run from the police

A boy jumped onto the train tracks at a London station while being pursued by police during a car chase.
A video posted to social media shows the young man sprinting down a platform at City Thameslink station.
The images were uploaded to Twitter on Easter Monday and have already been viewed more than 45,000 times.
It shows three police officers walking and then running past in and out of the frame to the end of the platform. On the other side of the train tracks, a young man with dark hair, black pants and a black hoodie ran down the platform.
When he ran into a station worker in a blue vest, he bumped into him only to jump onto the tracks seconds later.

Another uniformed officer ran to the end of the platform, but did not jump onto the rails to follow the youngster.
After he was not seen on the video for a few seconds, British transport police officers gathered to order the teenager to stop.
Moments later he emerged from the shadows and ran beside the tracks to the end of the tunnel.
He climbed over a fence and escaped from sight, while the policemen remained standing on the platform.
