Family Feud host Steve Harvey was censured by the game show’s producers for a joke he made while playfully mocking a player.

Harvey, who has been the face of the popular TV show since 2010, challenged contestant Kate to respond: “Name someone you don’t mind getting naked in front of.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, the mother responded: ‘My children.’

Harvey immediately took advantage of the moment to mess around with the admission and said, “Hey kids.” How are you? while he pretended to unbutton his jacket.

The clip was posted to Family Feud’s Instagram, where the show’s producers jokingly censored Harvey’s crotch area while pretending to take off a robe.

Contestant Kate was asked to name someone she wouldn’t mind stripping in front of, to which she responded “my children.”

However, Kate’s revelation did not seem to faze the audience, who applauded as she repeated once again that she had no problem undressing in front of her children.

Once Harvey finished taunting Kate, he said, “I’m telling you, you’re going to take your kids to therapy.”

She then clarified that her children were babies when she was naked in front of them.

To Harvey’s surprise, “my children/baby” was an answer on the board. Nine other people surveyed said they felt comfortable getting naked in front of their children. The most common responses were “spouse/lover” and “doctor/nurse.”

The crowd erupted in cheers and Kate, vindicated, proudly told Harvey with a wide smile: “It’s there!”

“I don’t know how the hell he was there because I’m telling you that’s the worst answer you could give,” Harvey responded.

Viewers reacted to the short clip on Instagram, with one person saying they agreed the answer shouldn’t be on the board.

Another commenter was more sympathetic, arguing that exposing young children to nudity is not the worst thing.

One wrote: “If you are being changed and your child finds out about you, that just normalizes the human body, so they won’t grow up thinking that bodies are weird or inherently sexual.”

Many others said it reminded them of another viral Harvey moment when a contestant was asked what a burglar wouldn’t want to see when breaking into a home, which he got more than 11 million views on YouTube.

To which the contestant, named Rod, shouted ‘Naked granny!’

Rod’s rival, who was in front of him, said: “I don’t want to see that either.”

Family Feud has been on various networks since 1976 and pits two families against each other to name the most popular answers to survey questions.

The show thrives on shock value and is designed to elicit bizarre responses from contestants competing for cash and prizes.
