This is the moment a music fan was dragged out of Wembley Stadium during Bruce Springsteen’s concert on Thursday night “simply for standing up”.

Evan Tate was one of tens of thousands of people who turned out to see Springsteen, 74, step back in time in a concert that lasted more than three hours.

However, Mr Tate, a budding guitarist in his band called ‘Bandit’, was unable to stay on course when he was removed from the stands by venue security.

Footage taken by a nearby spectator midway through the show appears to show Mr Tate asking for a reason for his ejection before panning to a selection of seated concert-goers being berated by other concert-goers.

Springsteen (seen) was, as always, accompanied that night by 'the legendary, breathless, pants-dropping, rock-and-roll, booty-shaking, love-making, earth-shaking, Viagra-defying, death-defying E Street Band' in what has been described as a top-notch performance.

Mr Tate posted the video on X and said: “I don’t know what to say exactly. I was brutally kicked off the Bruce Springsteen tour at Wembleystadium (sic) simply for standing up, when the footage shows loads of people doing the same.”

Alongside the clip, he shared details of the video showing it was taken at 8:43pm, around an hour and a half into the gig, meaning the musician likely missed out on classic hits like Thunder Road, Born To Run and Dancing In The Dark.

He can be heard asking security “what’s this for?” as they grab him and pull him away.

And Mr Tate also shared a photograph of one of his arms which appeared bruised, seemingly referencing the “brutal” nature of his eviction.

Other attendees could then be heard lashing out at Springsteen fans who were sitting behind the area from which people had been ejected.

They were surrounded by countless more standing spectators.

Someone can be heard calling one of the spectators “shit” and adding: “there was no need for that.”

Both Mr Tate and Wembley Stadium have been contacted for comment.
