This comes shortly after police escorted a drunk passenger off a flight to Dalaman after he had to make a U-turn on the runway at Manchester Airport.

Passengers on the June 22 flight watched as Jet2 staff were forced to abandon take-off and return to the gate where police removed the allegedly drunk man from the plane.

A video posted on social media shows three police officers inside the cabin.

The passenger, who was wearing black sunglasses and carrying a neck pillow, was initially seated and stood up when the officer asked: “Do you have any carry-on luggage?”

A flight attendant replied, “Yeah, I’ll get them to you in a second.”

The officer looked at the man who was about to be removed from the flight and said, “We might need you.”

As police and the flight attendant moved to retrieve the man’s carry-on luggage, he turned to look at the disgruntled passengers and appeared to throw up his hands.

The man said, “I’m sorry, everyone, I’m sorry.”

However, his apology was not well received by everyone and one person can be heard saying: “You’re not sorry at all, mate.”

The man quickly replied, “I’m sorry.”

A woman who appeared to be with the tourist stood up and turned to escort him off the flight, which was reportedly delayed by 24 hours according to social media.
