A clip of the influencer’s interview on The Diary of a CEO went viral, with her comments that she has “worked her ass off” to achieve her wealth and that “everyone has the same 24 hours in a day” to achieve it sparking a backlash.

Molly-Mae appeared on Love Island in 2019 and has since been appointed creative director of clothing brand PrettyLittleThing, a title with a seven-figure salary.
After her comments went viral, footage also resurfaced of the horrified star after being asked to work a 12-hour shift at the PLT warehouse to experience what goes on behind the scenes.
A spokesperson for the star told MailOnline that Molly-Mae recognised that people are “brought up in different ways” and “come from different backgrounds” and that she never intended to cause offence.
A statement read: ‘Molly gave a podcast interview in December about her own rise to success. If you listen to the full conversation and interview, Molly was asked about the growing nature of her potential and how she believes in herself.
‘This part of the interview talked about time efficiency in relation to success. Molly refers to a quote that says, “We all have the same 24 hours in a day as Beyoncé.”

Awkward: After her comments went viral, footage also resurfaced of the star looking horrified after being asked to work a 12-hour shift at the PLT warehouse.
‘She was speaking from her own experience and how she can relate to this specific quote. Her view that if you want something bad enough you can work hard to achieve it is how she stays determined with her own work to achieve more in her own life.
‘Molly does not comment on other people’s lives or personal situations, she can only speak from her own experience.
‘She acknowledges that everyone grows up differently and comes from different backgrounds, but her comments here speak to time, hard work and determination in her own life.’
‘If you listen to this interview, you can see that the whole conversation was about her own personal circumstances, how she’s grown, and this little clip in the conversation was about a quote that inspires her.
Social media users have shared a short snippet of this interview with words like “if you’re homeless, buy a house” and “if you’re poor, be poor.” These are not at all Molly’s words, they are not Molly’s thoughts, and it is not at all the meaning or thinking behind that conversation.
Molly-Mae later divided her followers on social media for seemingly flaunting her wealth by posing in an airport terminal surrounded by designer luggage worth £4,000.
Fresh from a luxurious family vacation in Dubai, the star cut a casual figure in a black T-shirt, matching leggings and an oversized blazer as she sat outside a Hermes boutique in a post shared on Sunday.

Social media followers were divided over the social media influencer’s post.
The reality star looked unimpressed in the picture as she sat next to her £2,200 Louis Vuitton suitcase and matching £1,790 holdall.
Molly-Mae looked ready for her flight as she wore her AirPod Max headphones, which are worth over £500, around her neck. In the caption, referencing her surroundings, she wrote: “5 star airport shopping.”
However, the post, shared amid a cost of living crisis, sparked an inevitably divided response among followers.
Responding to her latest update, one joked: “If ever there was a slogan to humiliate the working class.”
Elsewhere, a second quickly added: “Thanks for reminding me to work harder,” while a third commented: “The title is a bit controversial lol.”
Another simply added: “Read the room.”
However, others defended the influencer, with one fan writing: “although she doesn’t appear in the photo with Hermes shopping bags.”
“She says 5* shopping and has a little paper bag with the shopping in it… the working class can also walk through all the shops in an airport… people can choose how to spend their hard earned money.”
While another added: “Please stop being offended.”
