Mohamed Salah has ‘received interest’ from two of Liverpool’s biggest European rivals as the saga over his contract at Anfield, which expires next summer, gathers pace.
The Reds legend dropped a bombshell after the team’s 3-0 away win against bitter rivals Manchester United on September 1, admitting it could be his last season at the club.
Salah has been at Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017 and in that time has won the Premier League, Champions League and a host of other trophies, as well as making 352 appearances and scoring 214 goals.
His contract expires at the end of June 2025 and the Egyptian’s recent comments have sparked a wave of speculation over his future, with many expecting the striker to move to Saudi Arabia.
But it looks like Salah could end up staying in Europe, risking facing the team he became an icon for in a Champions League match. The National information.

Both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are believed to be interested in the 32-year-old and have both enquired about the player in a bid to tempt him to stay on the continent.
The French side are reportedly interested in reinforcing an already strong forward line consisting of Ousmane Dembélé, Marco Asensio and Bradley Barcola.
Meanwhile, an ambitious new Juventus team is looking to inject Salah’s experience in scoring goals and performing on the big stage into its lineup.
Either way, pursuing the Egyptian seems a no-brainer for any top European side, with an electric dribbler and clinical finisher potentially available on a free transfer.
However, they will have to fight Salah’s desire to stay at the Anfield club, with the striker said to be “desperate” to sign a new contract, according to the Liverpool Echo.
This follows a surge in interest from Saudi Arabian sides, including Al-Ittihad, over the past year, with such clubs likely to outdo their European counterparts when it comes to a lucrative salary.
The Egyptian has reportedly been put off by former teammate Sadio Mane’s plummeting reputation since his move to the Middle East.
The flurry of rumours surrounding Salah’s future was ignited after he created Luis Diaz’s first two goals and scored the third himself in a dominant win over United.
The late finish has allowed him to score in each of his last seven visits to Old Trafford, netting a total of 10 goals. In total, the Egyptian star has scored 15 goals in 16 games against United.

After the match, he admitted he was unsure what came next in his career, saying: “I came into the game and said: ‘Look, it could be the last time (at Old Trafford).'”
“Nobody from the club has spoken to me about contracts yet. It’s not my business, it’s the club’s business, but we’ll see.”
“As you know, it’s my last year at the club. I just want to enjoy it. I don’t want to think about it (the contract). I feel free to play football and we’ll see what happens next year.”
