Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Mohamed Salah on a new contract.
There has been much speculation about the future of the winger, whose current contract will expire at the end of June.
As reported by The mirrorSalah is now close to signing a new two-year contract to remain at Anfield.
Salah’s agent Rammy Abbas told Liverpool he wanted a three-year contract for his client, and Fenway Sports Group was initially only willing to offer him a one-year extension.
However, a compromise has now been reached and the 32-year-old will extend his stay at the club he has represented since 2017.
Salah already earns around £400,000 a week at Liverpool, and money has not been an issue in deciding his future.

Initially, Fenway Sports Group was only willing to offer a one-year extension, but a compromise was reached.
Liverpool are also looking to tie Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold to new deals, with both players also in the final year of their current contracts.
Salah remains a key player for Liverpool, as evidenced by the fact that he has scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 14 Premier League games this season.
In total, the Egyptian star has scored 226 goals in 370 games for Liverpool.
He has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups during his time at the club.
The news about Salah will be a big boost for Arne Slot, whose team is currently top of the Premier League.
Last month, Salah had revealed his disappointment at not being offered a new contract with Liverpool at the time.
Speaking to a small selection of journalists after Liverpool’s victory at Southampton, Salah said: “It’s almost December and I still haven’t received any offers to stay at the club. “I’m probably more out than in.
There has been a lot of speculation about Salah’s future, but now it looks like he will stay.

“You know that I have been at the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I still have not received anything about my future.
‘I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or in those of the fans.”
Asked if he was disappointed by the lack of progress, Salah added: “Of course I am. I’m not going to retire anytime soon, so I’m just playing, concentrating on the season and trying to win the Premier League and, hopefully, also the Champions League. I’m disappointed, but we’ll see.”
