Publisher Activision has dropped a comprehensive overview of all the novelties for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 in Season 1.0. Quite a sandwich, because both games get an overload of additions in different categories. Below is a brief overview.
First and foremost introduces Warzone 2.0 a brand new map to the battle royale experience. Enter Al Mazrah, an extensive combat region with no less than 18 conflict zones. The map brings numerous updates, such as new vehicles, proximity chat, battles in water, a third-person playlist and much more.
If you bite the dust, you will end up in a renewed gulag. In prison, you may compete in teams of 2 to return to the fight on Al Mazrah. Is the confrontation taking too long? Then the Jailer steps in. So the message is to keep an eye out.
The coolest novelty, however, is the highly anticipated DMZ mode. In it, squads of players undertake challenging missions, which they must complete. You can pick up extra side quests along the way, but be careful that enemy teams or the AI-controlled soldiers don’t kill you.
By the way, did we mention that the old Warzone isn’t simply canned? Nope, after the launch of Warzone 2.0, the battle royale game will return as Warzone Caldera. Ideal if you prefer to hang out in a historic setting.
But that’s not all, because Modern Warfare 2 gets a major update. The classic maps Shipment and Shoot House are making a comeback, complete with sharp graphics. In addition, the CDL Moshpit opens its doors. That’s a kind of training mode that you can play with your squad on any official map of the game. Finally, the game gets a fresh Special Ops mission and Raid mode in multiplayer.
Last, but not least, the game gets a completely new Battle Pass, which you can find out more about here. By the way, don’t forget the FC event, because that brings famous football players Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr. and Paul Pogba to the battlefields. In addition, the game will also get fresh weapons, new decals and more.
