Johnny Damon attended the Yankees’ Old-Timers Day on Saturday, and fans are convinced the former outfielder was “drunk” for the occasion.
Damon and other members of the 2009 championship team, including Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, were honored 15 years after their feat before the Yankees faced the Rockies at home.
But fans believed that Damon showed up to the event drunk as the YES Network X Account He posted a video of himself doing a spinning flip in the air after being introduced to the crowd.
He then crouched down towards a camera and made a rather strange gesture with his fingers.
The clip was titled ‘One of a Kind’ by YES Network, but many fans didn’t find it funny.

While it is not known whether Damon arrived drunk on Yankees Old-Timers Day, it is certain that he has struggled with alcohol at least occasionally since his retirement in 2012.
He was arrested for DUI in 2021 by the Windemere Police Department in Florida.
And according to an arrest affidavit seen by CNNDamon had nearly four times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, with his blood alcohol level at 0.30 percent two hours after police stopped him.
He faced misdemeanor drunk driving charges, but eventually accepted a plea deal that allowed him to drop his charges in exchange for a donation to a charity and community service, according to TMZ.
