My Kitchen Rules stars Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton have dealt another blow following the tragic death of their 20-month-old daughter Poppy Grace last week.
The couple revealed that their car had been broken into during an attempted burglary, which was caught on camera through their property’s security system.
The incident took place in the early hours of Friday morning, not long after Poppy was buried at the nearby Pettigrew funeral home on Thursday afternoon.
Carly and Tresne posted CCTV footage of the attempted robbery on Instagram on Sunday night, saying the incident made them feel “really unsafe” in their own home at a time when they were already grieving for their child.
The alleged thief broke into their yard and took money from their car, but failed to enter their home, the couple said.

‘Hello darlings. We have only just been dragged out of bed and we would like to thank you all so much for your incredible kindness after Poppy’s special goodbye on Thursday. We love you all so much,” their message began.
“Unfortunately, at 3:30 am the next night/morning, our car was broken into and a young man tried to enter our house. He only took money from our car, but we feel sick that this person entered our space. After months of sleeping in the hospital with many of our J1 nurses/family around, we feel really unsafe.’
They added that they have reported the incident to the police but have shared the footage in an attempt to identify the thief.

They ended, “We have filed this report with the police, but if you could share this post so we might be able to find this young man, we would be so grateful. Big love and thanks to all of you xoxoxox.”
Below that, their followers were in disbelief, saying that the couple does not deserve what happened to them after the loss of their daughter.
‘This is terrible. Both of you have already been through tremendous pain and I can’t believe this person has the decency to even do this. I’m sorry. It’s a dirty feeling that your space is being invaded. Sharing this now x,” one follower wrote.
‘You don’t deserve this! I hope he gets caught and pays the price,” added another.
‘This is rancid! What low lives. I am lost for words. You don’t need this on top of everything. I hope by sharing with everyone these people are found and dealt with. I’ve been thinking about you all week xx,” said another.

Underneath, their followers were in disbelief saying the couple don’t deserve what happened to them after the loss of their daughter
Last week, the couple announced the sad news that their baby daughter Poppy Grace had passed away at just 20 months old.
The couple, who documented their journey while raising a sick child, told their Instagram followers that their baby girl had lost her battle with leukemia.
They posted a photo of their child on their joint account and wrote, “This morning we lost our precious baby Poppy Grace.
“True to her form, she fought tooth and nail until her last breath. Her leukemia took over and at her last blood draw, the blasts were 787,000. That fighting spirit was so prominent throughout her struggle and was so evident over the past four traumatic days.
“Poppy showed us what it’s like to be grateful and happy with whatever cards you get.
She made the most of her time on earth, dancing, giggling and smiling for days after it ended. She was loving and funny and nurturing. She was smart and empathetic.
“She had a heart of gold and she was shining so bright, dripping with joy. We were honored to be her mom and we didn’t take that for granted for a second, not even a second.
“She has taught us so much in her short 20 months and we have never experienced a love as all encompassing.”
The mothers said they were “sorry” to share the news with their followers, some of whom had donated blood, money and gifts to their daughter, and others who were living with leukemia.
Carly and Tresne have created a Lifeblood donation group on Poppy’s behalf, where their followers can come together to donate blood and hopefully help sick adults and children like Poppy.
“We will rise again for Poppy. We don’t know what that looks like yet – we’re lost and our target is gone.
“But we’ll be back soon and we’ll enjoy life to the fullest in her honor.” There is much to do with the experiences we have gained, there is much to share and there are many ways we can improve the lives of oncology children and their parents.
“Until then, we’ll rest so we can stand up for our forever 20-month-old Poppy.”
Donation bookings can be made on the Lifeline website or by calling 13 14 95.
