A 12-year-old boy from St. Louis, Missouri, has lost his life three months after being involved in a horrific car accident last December.
The car Travis Wolfe was traveling in was struck head-on by another vehicle driven by a female Venezuelan migrant who was in the country illegally.
Endrina Bracho was driving down the road in the wrong direction, at twice the speed limit, with her own two children in the back of her minivan.
Such was the impact of the crash, it left Travis on life support at St. Louis Children’s Hospital with brain damage from which he did not recover. He died last Wednesday.
“He hit his head on the window and possibly the roof,” said Dusty Wildman, Travis’ brother-in-law. “So he had damage in his brainstem and also his brain.”

Travis was rushed to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, while his parents, who were in the car with him, were taken to another hospital for their injuries.
His father, Tim, had a broken wrist and ribs, while his mother, Steph, suffered a broken ankle and sternum. They have both since been released from hospital.
ONE GoFundMe was set up to help the family pay for Travis’ medical expenses.
Bracho, who was identified as the driver of the car that struck the Wolfe family, is alleged to have been driving at speeds of up to 75 mph along a road with a 40 mph speed limit.
She is charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of endangering a child in the first degree and one count of operating a vehicle without a valid license.

Court documents say “she is here illegally from Venezuela” and was driving in the wrong lane when she hit the Jeep the wolves were traveling in.
Her own children were also in their family’s car on the night of the accident and are now being cared for by their father.
Bracho is currently in custody and being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond, with a hearing set for April 8.
