A Miss Universe finalist was punched 30 times by her jealous ex-lover while shouting: “He’s going to kill me,” a court heard.

Chloe Othen, 33, said Ricky Lawrence, 32, pulled her hair and bit her repeatedly in an hour-long frenzy after sending her a barrage of abusive messages.

Miss Othen, an Instagram influencer with 305,000 followers, said she feared she would die after Lawrence grabbed two knives and threatened to slit her throat in her £1.5million flat.

Lawrence and Miss Othen had been in an on-off relationship for six months between December 2021 and May 2022 before it ended.

Miss Othen’s partner at the time, Bora Guccuk, 39, called her while she was at the flat, but Lawrence took the phone and allegedly threatened to kill him.

Lawrence had sent messages to Miss Othen saying: “You screwed up tonight, look what I do now you idiot.”

He added: ‘You bloody fool, now you’re screwed. I swear, I will do everything in my power to fuck up the rest of your life, screenshot that. ‘

Guccuk said he called Miss Othen in the early hours of October 15, 2022 after realizing she had not returned home.

He told the jury Lawrence took his phone and told him: “It’s Ricky, if you want her, come get her.” I will stab you in her neck and I will stab her too.”

‘She was screaming in the background, call the police, she’s going to kill me.

‘He’s going to kill me at Hans Place, come help me, he won’t let me go.’

“There was a huge commotion and a cry for help.”

The call was cut off but Mr Guccuk called Miss Othen’s phone again immediately, where the same conversation was had, Holborn Crown Court heard.

“I could still hear Chloe screaming in the background and I think on the third attempt I dialed 999 immediately and asked to call the police,” he continued.

“There were very chaotic, very distressed sounds from Chloe in the background.

The jury heard the 999 call my Mr Guccuk made in which he can be heard telling the operator: “She desperately needs help right now, he is on the phone saying come and get her, she is shouting in the background saying Help me.’

Eventually, Lawrence threw the phone and glasses at Miss Othen and she was able to escape.

He went to the nearby Berkeley Hotel, where he met his friend Alex Ivanovic, before Mr Guccuk arrived.

He called the police again to inform them that he had found Miss Othen and said: “This guy is crazy.”

The operator then asked if Lawrence had mental health issues, to which he responded, “I’m not sure, but he’s crazy, crazy, he’s been stalking her.”

Mr Guccuk eventually met up with Miss Othen, who was bruised and bleeding, the court heard.

‘She was covered in bruises and bleeding in certain parts of her body and crying.

‘Alex said he would take her home because he didn’t feel safe in his house or mine because he said Ricky Lawrence knew my address.

“I was distraught, bleeding, I just wanted a comfortable place to go.

“I was worried about my safety because Ricky knew where I lived and she was obviously worried about her safety.

“I saw a dent in his head from a punch, he had a cut on his arm, a cut on his face and bruises all over, he was in very, very bad condition.”

Sheilagh Davies, prosecuting, asked Mr Guccuk: ‘After the police left on Saturday morning, what condition is Chloe in? What does she do?

He replied: ‘She was very distraught, still hysterical, crying and very hurt, obviously still having cuts and bruises.

“She was half conscious because of all the pain and all the crying, she was in a very bad state. I was trying to convince her that she needed to go to the hospital as soon as possible, but she was still in shock.”

Lawrence, of Hans Crescent, Knightsbridge, denies one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The trial continues.
