Missing non-binary heiress Mint Butterfield previously threatened suicide, cops searching for the billionaire’s daughter said.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that the search for the 16-year-old girl continues in the Bay Area and that she is believed to have left her San Francisco home voluntarily.
They said they are not making any further progress in the search for the teenager.
The statement said: “At this time, we have no information to believe that Mint was taken against his will.” The Sheriff’s Office is considering Mint a voluntarily missing juvenile, who is “at risk” due to a prior threat of suicide.

The statement also described the final sightings of Mint, who attended a private boarding school in Napa Valley.
The teenager’s father is Slack co-founder Stuart Butterfield, while her mother is Flickr founder Caterina Fake.
A sheriff’s spokesman said: ‘Mint was reported missing by his mother, Caterina Fake. Fake had last seen her daughter at approximately 10:00 p.m. on April 21 inside her house, located in Bolinas.
‘The next morning, Fake realized that Mint was not home and discovered a note indicating that Mint had left the residence with a suitcase at an unknown time during the night or early morning.
‘It is unclear how Mint left the area as they did not have access to a vehicle or a phone.
‘Fake and Mint also share a house in San Francisco and it is believed, based on statements from Fake, that Mint may have gone to the Tenderloin district of San Francisco.’
Mint was previously reported to have substance abuse problems and was rumored to be hiding out in San Francisco’s notoriously dangerous Tenderloin neighborhood.
