“We grew up with really wonderful relationships to watch and I think it just set a precedent for what we want in our lives,” she said. “I see my parents falling more in love every day and the same thing happens when I see Jake’s parents and I think that’s just what we want, you know, hoping to achieve for ourselves.”

“I’m very lucky to be with him and to be able to live life with him,” she said in an interview.
The 21-year-old actor popped the question in April last year after two years of dating in an elaborate underwater proposal while on holiday.
‘Jake and I bonded over diving. “We love diving, we got our diving licenses together,” he recently revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“One day we were on vacation and he told me: “Mil, you have to get up at 8:00 am, let’s go diving. And I said, ‘8:00 am? We dive like, what are we…?’ he added.

She added that Bongiovi told her they were going to “go to the same place we usually go,” but she suggested, “It’s boring, let’s go somewhere new.”
“He says, ‘No, we have to go to this place.’ So we went down, we were like many feet down, and he hits me like a shell. And I turn it over and it’s a ring,” she said.
She said they both looked at each other as she mumbled something, imitating what he sounded like in his scuba gear.
Brown added that he gestured to go up, adding, “Because this means ‘I want to go up,’ so technically it would mean something like, ‘No, I don’t want to marry you, I want to go up.'”
“I was like, ‘Okay,'” she said, making a hand gesture that meant she was marrying him, joking, “I think it was disappointing, but we freaked out anyway.”
The romantic proposal, however, took a rather unique, and almost death-defying, turn, Brown explained.
“He puts the ring on my hand and when I go to show it to him, the ring falls off my finger, falling so fast it looks like a movie,” she explained.

‘Jake dove in… really deep. As if the diver was saying, “You can’t do that. Your ears. Your brain will literally explode.” He lunges, does a kind of cinematic grab, opens up and saved the ring,” he said.
She explained, “I really feel like it’s a reflection of who he is and I feel like we’ll always have each other’s backs.” And if someone drops the ball, we’ve got it. So here we go.’
Brown adds: “We got to the top and he said, ‘Will you marry me?’ And I said, ‘Oh, yeah. “I mean, yeah, that would be… you should probably ask me.”
And then he said, “You know, I bought you this ring because your mom wouldn’t let me take her ring.” Which one am I wearing? This is my mother’s ring. And my mom said, ‘Of course not, Jake. You’re not wearing my ring there. I know you’re going to drop it,’ and sure enough she did,” Brown joked.
“She was right, when we got on the boat, he said, ‘This is your mother’s ring and your parents gave it to me.’ And it was very magical. And his parents were there and we looked so disheveled coming out of a dive. We were like, ‘We’re committed, but we also have to tell them this crazy story that just happened,'” Brown said.
