Miley Cyrus ‘looks forward to starting over in 2025’.
The 32-year-old pop star has admitted she feels “bittersweet” about saying goodbye to 2024 – but Miley is now looking forward to the new year with a renewed sense of optimism.
The ‘Party in the USA’ hitmaker – who has been dating musician Maxx Morando since 2021 – wrote on Instagram: ‘HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND NEW YEAR!
“It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a year that has been so good to me, but I’m looking forward to starting over.
“This is one of my favorite parts, not only of the creative process, but also of the way life has taught me.
‘In everything I do, I like to go EVERYTHING. Give it ALL I’ve got. ANYTHING to end it all, move on and start over.”
She added: “Sometimes it can be a heartbreaking process, but I always knew that the pieces had to come back together and create something beautiful.

‘Thank you to everyone who helped make this year so special. Kind regards, Miley.’
In August, Miley became the youngest star ever to achieve Disney Legend status.
The pop star first rose to fame as Hannah Montana on the hit Disney Channel series, and Miley admitted she’s “still proud to have been Hannah Montana.”
In an emotional acceptance speech, Miley – the daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus – said: ‘I was Hannah Montana and I was so proud of that.
“This award is dedicated to Hannah and all her wonderful, loyal fans, and to everyone who made my dream a reality.
‘To quote the legend itself: this is life.’
Earlier this month, Cyrus purchased the vintage Bob Mackie dress she wore to the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The pop star dazzled in the silver rhinestone-encrusted chiffon-style cut-out dress from the designer’s Fall 2002 collection as she performed her hit song “Flowers” at the glitzy party in February.
“This is one of my favorite parts of not only the creative process, but the way life has chosen to teach me,” she shared

And she was the winning bidder when the dress went under the hammer as part of the ‘Hollywood Legends: Unmistakably Mackie’ collection sale by Turner Classic Movies and Julien’s Auctions.
Some of the money raised from the sale went to Music Bash’s MusiCares charity, a nonprofit organization within the Recording Academy that provides support to musicians in financial, personal or medical crisis.
However, it has not been revealed how much the ‘Midnight Sky’ hitmaker paid for the dress.
The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star – who won her first two Grammys (Record of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance) at this year’s ceremony for her 2023 mega-hit ‘Flowers’ – said of the dress: ‘This dress represents more than a performance – it’s a celebration of the relationship between music, artistry and glamour.
Miley and her mother Tish Cyrus arrive at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games held at the Nokia Theater LA Live in 2012 in Los Angeles
“This performance was a pivotal moment in my life and Bob Mackie’s support in securing it means a lot to me.”
Mackie – whose designs have been worn by the likes of Cher, Pink and the late Tina Turner – said: “Miley’s performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards marked an unforgettable moment in her career. As the designer of this dress, I couldn’t imagine it on anyone else. That girl was born to perform!’
Gabriela Schwartz, Managing Director and Head of Luxury and Corporate Brand Partnerships at Julien’s Auctions, said:
“This collaboration perfectly embodies our mission to honor the heritage of both music and fashion.
“It’s a real victory for everyone involved.”
