Mikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal has already started planning the summer transfer window while continuing his revision at the Emirates.

Neither has been seen for the Gunners, but Arteta is already looking forward to the end of the season – and how he can improve his team for a first fully responsible year.
Mikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal is already making plans for the summer transfer window
“We have to plan and we need to know in which direction we want to go and we have to take different scenarios into account,” he said.
“With that in mind, I have to tell the club what we need, where we think we can improve and where we want to end. And if we all end up with the same thing, we prepare a plan to implement it and make the process as short as possible. “
Arsenal has the young defender William Saliba arrive this summer from Saint-Etienne. He will join an already swelling group of asterisks who want to strengthen their place in the Arsenal XI.
The likes of Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all shone this season and Arteta said that securing their future for the future will be a crucial part of youth improvement.
Arteta remains determined to overhaul the entire Arsenal team since it took over
“I am really happy with how they (young players) are developing. Part of that development is improving the contract and binding them to the club. But that must follow a natural process. We have Edu, we have Raul (Sanllehi), Vinai Venkatesham and Huss (Fahmy) who are in charge and I am sure we will do the right thing if players deserve to improve and extend their contracts. “
Arsenal faces Newcastle in the Emirates on Sunday after a winter break that Arteta described as a “mini preseason”.
With his side in 10th place in the Premier League table, the manager needs an improvement in results if they have any hope of securing European football for the next term.
“We play the game for game. The input, work ethic and commitment they have had through training and games has been really good, “he said.
“They know how crucial it will be in the next three to four weeks and until the end of the season. They are very aware of this and think very well, they are very motivated. “
The club will probably be without Mari, Cedric or Kieran Tierney for the Premier League clash.
Highly rated young William William will become a member of the Saint-Etienne club in the summer
“Pablo has not participated since the end of December, I think, he had a little problem, but he has been training with us a little bit over the past week, but he looked good. I think this game will come a little early for him, but I expect him to join the team in the next week or so. “
Cedric fights back from a knee problem, while Tierney is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
“He has trained, his work ethic is incredible, I am really impressed with him so hopefully we can get him back soon, but we have to be patient with him.
