Mike Tyson suffered a medical scare during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday

Mike Tyson insists he is back to “100 per cent” after a medical scare just weeks before his showdown with Jake Paul.

The 57-year-old suffered nausea and dizziness on a recent flight, forcing airline staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board. Paramedics later boarded the plane to treat Tyson after he landed in Los Angeles.

The incident raised fears about whether the July 20 fight would take place, but on Tuesday Tyson wrote on social media: “I feel 100% now although I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”

The couple will be separated by 30 years when they face off in a controversial fight, broadcast on Netflix, on July 20 at the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyson’s representatives had previously insisted the former heavyweight champion was “very well” after “an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing.”

‘They asked us to stay on the plane and they landed so the paramedics could enter. (The flight attendant) said something like: “He’s a very important passenger, so we want to make sure he’s okay.”

“I knew it was him, but I said the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded.”

Once the plane landed at LAX, there was another delay of about 25 minutes while paramedics treated Tyson.

Tyson, who previously admitted to using marijuana daily, quit the drug while training to fight Paul because it is on the list of prohibited substances used by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
