Mike Tyson got into a topless brawl with Shannon ‘The Cannon’ Briggs after a street meeting in Brooklyn, as the pair were surrounded by fans.
Tyson was revisiting old sites of his history ahead of the summer’s highly anticipated Netflix fight against YouTuber Jake Paul.
Iron Mike moved to Brownsville, Brooklyn, when he was ten years old, and continued to live there for much of his childhood, feeling afraid to leave home due to the neighborhood’s reputation and his own family’s struggles with poverty.
The 57-year-old, who turned his life around to become the youngest world heavyweight champion at the age of 20, returned to the Brownsville area on Friday for a tour with a crowd of locals.
Briggs was born in Brooklyn and also grew up in Brownsville, so he joined the trip down memory lane, and the pair couldn’t resist the chance to laugh and argue in their old stomping grounds.

Former WBO heavyweight title holder ‘The Cannon’ Briggs also grew up in Brownsville.
Tensions with Briggs, 52, jokingly reached a fever pitch, causing Tyson to rip off his shirt and raise his fists.
The Cannon, who held the WBO heavyweight title from 2006 to 2007 and hung up his professional gloves in 2016, followed suit and the pair exchanged a brief boxing match without any serious punches.
Briggs went to lift Tyson’s leg and let him fall to the pavement, before the pair burst out laughing and called a friendly truce.
Tyson shared a clip of the incident on his Instagram, with the caption ‘Brownsville’s finest always ready for a fight.’ I love this guy.’
Jake Paul, Tyson’s opponent in July, responded “Nice Chests,” while Ryan Garcia, one of the best lightweights in the world, wrote: “Let me join in next.”
Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia commented on Tyson’s Instagram images of the street fight.

A alternative angle of the fight was posted by Briggs and accompanied with the caption: ‘@miketyson and @cannon_briggs in Brownsville getting ready in front of #AtlanticTowers!!!! @smoothedahustler the referee!!!! Its on!!!!’
Boxing fans are convinced Tyson will beat Paul in their Netflix clash later this year, as viral training footage has revealed clear differences between their gym preparations.
Tyson and Paul stunned fans with the announcement that they would fight in Dallas on July 20 in an exhibition broadcast live on Netflix, despite the 30-year age difference between the 27-year-old influencer and the former pro.
Tyson’s last official fight was in 2005, while YouTube influencer Paul has been a professional boxer since 2020.
