Reports say that even if the deal fails to gain the necessary approvals, Microsoft will still have to pay Activision Blizzard a significant amount, namely, a $3 billion separation fee.
This information was disclosed in CNBC interview With Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, when asked how the company is going to invest that money, he said, “I think our number one focus is trying to get the deal done, which I think is in the interest of the industry and the competition.
