Nathan Board, 33, has been accused of beating to death the parents of his next ex-wife in his room in Kent County, Michigan earlier this week.
A Michigan man has been accused of beating his ex-wife's parents to death in his bedroom, police said.
Patty and Theodore Syrek, 62 and 66, respectively, were found dead at their Kent County home on Tuesday, and their daughter's ex-husband, Nathan Board, was arrested the following night.
The junta was formally accused of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer on Thursday afternoon in connection with the Syrek case, but the 33-year-old suspect is still not facing murder charges.
"At this time, we believe that the case will be resolved with this arrest," Woodlayer television broadcaster LaJoye-Young said Thursday.
"But without a doubt, if you know anything more about this incident or any event that may be related to it, we are still interested in hearing from you."
The bail of the Board has been set at $ 1 million and is being held at the Kent County Correctional Center.

It is unclear how long the couple had been dead before their bodies were discovered at their home in the 9000 block of Jordan River Drive SE in Bowne Township, east of Caledonia.
