Lisa, who shares three children with the media veteran, opened up about the couple’s decision to sleep in separate beds in 2023.
She first opened up about their unorthodox sleeping arrangement in an interview with Body+Soul, revealing that not only do they have their own beds, but they also retire to their own private rooms at the end of the day.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph at the time, Lisa explained that the practice began when her children were younger.
“Now I love it so much I can’t go back,” she told the publication.
One reason the pair are sleeping apart is due to Wippa’s suspected sleep apnea, for which she was undergoing testing at the time, with Lisa saying she will “probably end up (sleeping) in a Darth Vader mask.”
“I would rather him be a healthy version of himself than have some kind of brain aneurysm due to lack of oxygen,” he said.
Sleep apnea occurs when a person’s throat is partially or completely blocked while sleeping.
It is treated using a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) pump, which feeds pressurized air into a face mask to keep the person’s throat open while they sleep.

Lisa went on to say that she is a light sleeper and wakes up with the slightest noise, so she prefers to sleep quietly at night.
“Essentially, we are in separate beds and I can say that you are a much happier person when you get good quality sleep,” she revealed.
‘While some people think it’s the end of their marriage, it’s not. I am a much happier wife when I don’t start telling my husband all night to turn himself in because he is snoring.
Lisa and Wippa opened up about their struggles with sleeping in 2022.
The mother-of-three revealed she was left exhausted when her daughter Francesca struggled with sleeping.
‘She didn’t know how to settle down. We would have to lie on the floor and hold his hand until he fell asleep,’ Lisa said.
‘I was doing that four or five times a night. Constantly live as a half version of yourself. I would look in the mirror and think, I’m a shell of myself.
Wippa has been married to Lisa for 11 years. Together they share three children, sons Theodore, eight, Jack, seven, and daughter Francesca, four.
