Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella took to Instagram over the weekend to mark one year since she was diagnosed with cancer and admitted she was “grateful” for the progress she had made.

Isabella was a college freshman when she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October 2023 after doctors found a tumor “bigger than a golf ball” growing in the back of her brain, but three months ago she was declared cancer free and returned to college in August.

On Saturday, October 26, on her Instagram Stories, the Good Morning America host’s daughter posted a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed, perhaps before or after surgery, and captioned it: “365 days since that my life changed tremendously.”

In the image, Isabella is wearing a hospital gown, a hair cap and a yellow face mask, but is clearly still smiling at the camera, and in another snap, she is asleep in her hospital bed and surrounded by balloons and bouquets of flowers.

“Grateful for the progress I’ve made,” Isabella captioned the photo alongside a white heart emoji.

Her posts come just two months after she joyfully returned to college after taking a leave of absence due to cancer treatment.

Isabella underwent multiple surgeries and months of treatment, including chemotherapy, to treat the rare brain tumor.

In July, she was able to triumphantly announce on her YouTube channel that she was “cancer free” after undergoing her latest MRI.

And in August, he returned to the University of Southern California with the help of his mother, Michael’s ex-wife, Jean Muggli.

Isabella broke the news by joyfully posting a selfie with Jean on her Instagram Stories and writing, ‘Back at USC’ in the school’s red and gold colors.

After being diagnosed in October 2023, Isabella decided to document her battle with cancer on her YouTube channel.

In a video titled Road to Recovery in July, he explained that he was headed back to the hospital for a new procedure, but this was one he was very excited about.

Just weeks after ringing the chemotherapy bell to signal the end of her treatment, Isabella marked another important milestone: having her chemotherapy port removed.

She also posted a sweet photo of herself surrounded by balloons and flowers at the hospital.

In a different video shared in February, Isabella opened up about some of the terrible symptoms she suffered as a result of her chemotherapy.

At the time, he said that “everything” hurt and that he felt like he was “having a heart attack.”

‘My eyes are tired, it hurts to look around. “My whole mouth feels like I’ve had a giant root canal,” she continued.

‘Each and every tooth, simply ripped out and not even surgically reattached. My jaw hurts, the base of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I drink water.
