Michael Keaton was the star of his own personal encounter when he met his girlfriend Marni Turner.
The 73-year-old Beetlejuice star, who brought his partner with him to Tim Burton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, revealed he was struck by his lady love’s beauty when he first encountered her on a street in Los Angeles sometime around 2016.
“I was like, ‘Wow!’ And then he turned out to be a really nice person,” she said. People from the romantic comedy type encounter.
Turner, 51, also has an eye for fashion and deals.
“She’s proud to go… like someone comes up to her and says, ‘That’s fantastic! ‘ And she says, ‘Thank you. $39, TJ Maxx.'”

“That’s something that’s unique to her,” he explained. “She’s known for that.”
Turner was also with him while he filmed his Emmy-winning performance as a doctor at the center of the opioid epidemic in 2021’s Dopesick.
“I lost my nephew to fentanyl, heroin and fentanyl. That obviously made it even more special,” the actor said of the series.
“It’s one of the reasons I did it. Some people think it’s the only reason I did it. It wasn’t. It was very well written and I would have done it anyway,” she said of the series based on building a legal case against the makers of Oxycontin.
“But it was definitely a big accomplishment for me to honor him, I guess, but also to raise awareness about this for other people.”
The actor said Turner offered him support during that emotional time. “I couldn’t have gotten through Dopesick without her,” he said.
The actor, born Michael John Douglas, had decided he wanted to start using a version of his birth name for the rest of his career.
Due to Screen Actors Guild rules prohibiting one actor from having the same stage name as another, Keaton was forced to drop Douglas as his last name and adopted Keaton after finding the name in the phone book, according to Wikipedia.

Turner, 51, accompanied Keaton to Tim Burton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Tuesday, September 3. The couple has been together since around 2016 but has kept their relationship private.
Keaton said Turner offered him emotional support while he was filming his Emmy-winning performance in Dopesick, where he plays a doctor caught up in the opioid epidemic. “I couldn’t have gotten through Dopesick without her,” he said.
The actor doesn’t remember exactly what the motive was. “I was looking… I don’t remember if it was a phone book,” he told the outlet.
“I should have thought, ‘I don’t know, let me think of something. ‘ And then I was like, ‘Oh, that sounds reasonable. ‘”
He has changed his name on social media and was hoping to include his new moniker in the credits for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
“I said, ‘Hey, just as a warning, my credit goes to Michael Keaton Douglas. And it completely got out of hand. And I forgot to give them enough time to put it in and create it. But that will happen,'” he said.
