“Couples who train together!” Married At First Sight’s Michael Goonan reunites with ex-wife Stacey Hampton for training in Adelaide

They failed to cover the distance in last year’s Married At First Sight season.

But Michael Goonan and Stacey Hampton got back together on Wednesday for a workout in Adelaide and looked very friendly as they posed for photos in the gym.

Michael, 28, lifted Stacey, 27, into a cozy embrace, before the former couple participated in a series of workouts to keep their bodies in check.

Michael later posted a video of the duo together saying, ‘I know you guys all see these fitness videos, so I spiced it up a bit and bought a special guest: Stacey Hampton!’

“Couples training together …” he laughed, while Stacey yelled something inaudible, followed by “together!”

BST Fitness gym shared photos of the couple on Instagram, writing: ‘Winter is here! Now is the best time to start your fitness journey at BST in Bowden or revive old romances. ‘

Despite the gym’s cheeky reference to “ revived romances, ” Michael and Stacey are believed to be just friends.

Meanwhile, Michael has been working hard on his fitness lately, debuting his body transformation in April after an eight-week boot camp.

In a conversation with Daily Mail Australia, the reformed party boy revealed exactly what goes into his grueling training regimen.

Michael explained that he trains four hours a day in three different workouts.

To fit exercise into his busy schedule, he wakes up at 4 in the morning.

He does one heavy lifting session with strength trainer Brad Townsend, followed by two ‘intense’ cardio sessions – and his efforts are clearly paying off.

Michael said he was keen to show the world that he could change his ways after being portrayed as a ‘party boy’ on Married At First Sight.

“I was painted like this playboy party animal,” he said. “I wanted to prove that when I focus on something, I can’t be stopped.”

“Failure is not an option,” he added.

He also revealed last month that he was working out with fellow MAFS groom Seb Guilhaus at the BST Fitness gym in Adelaide.

In a photo uploaded to Instagram, Michael was carrying shirtless Seb, 31, in his arms.

He captioned the image: ‘I really love the positivity I’ve injected into my life lately.

‘What a great session with my top trainer Brad. Buzz to make the Sebatron a celebrity. Yeah, the deal was I had to carry him there. ‘
