Micah Richards has mocked Roy Keane’s heated confrontation with an Ipswich fan that occurred during a recent Sky Sports broadcast.

The former Manchester United captain was involved in a heated exchange on the pitch with Ipswich fans. after United’s 1-1 draw against the Tractor Boys last month.

Keane responded to relentless taunting from a section of fans at Portman Road, where he once managed, before offering to meet a supporter in the car park.

In the broadcasts that followed, Keane’s co-writers made cheeky comments about the incident, but now Richards has gone a step further with a social media post.

On X on Sunday night, the Sky pundit shared a photo of Keane and Jamie Carragher in a car park, with Keane jokingly checking the time on his watch.

The caption read: “This Ipswich fan is really taking his time.” We just want to get home, Roy.

The trio of former Premier League stars had been on Sky’s pundit team covering Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City, where the Reds triumphed 2-0 that day.

Keane’s dispute with the fan was mentioned during the broadcast when Liverpool star Salah was being interviewed after the final whistle.

Salah recently came under fire from Carragher over the Egyptian’s current contract stand-off with the Merseyside giants.

During the interview, Carragher was asked about recent comments from presenter Dave Jones, who said: ‘Mo Salah throws down the gauntlet, Jamie?’

Carragher jokingly replied: “I’ll see him in the car park”, mocking the incident between Keane and a fan last weekend.

Carragher decided to reference the incident between Keane and the fan when asked about Salah’s reaction to the Man of the Match award.

Carragher’s fellow Sky Sports pundits couldn’t help but laugh as Keane slumped in his chair looking slightly embarrassed.

Neil Finbow, who witnessed the altercation from the pitch barrier, shed light on exactly what happened between Keane and the fan during an exclusive interview with Mail Sport.

He explained that the fan had expressed frustration with Keane’s behavior toward his children years ago, alleging that Keane had been rude and denied them autographs during his tenure as manager.

Speaking to Mail Sport, Finbow said: “The whole argument stemmed from a problem with their children.” The fan’s problem was getting autographs at the time when he was the manager here. The guy was basically saying that Roy Keane ruled by fear.

“You could see him pointing at the parking lot because that’s where the autographs were done, and that’s where he had the problem with Roy all those years ago. So it makes sense that they were pointing that way.”

Finbow noted that Keane’s comments could have been misinterpreted: “What Roy said could have been misinterpreted. He might have wanted to talk in the parking lot, because that’s where it all happened. It’s hard to say. But yeah, he might have wanted to. ‘I’ll say ‘I’ll talk to you in the parking lot,’ but it seemed like I was inviting him out (to fight).’
