- Micah Richards is scheduled to appear on CBS with the return of the Champions League
- But due to a conflict in his schedule, he goes missing from the network on Wednesday
- Listen to the latest episode of the Mail Sport podcast It all starts!
Micah Richards is nowhere to be seen during CBS’ Champions League coverage, and host Kate Abdo has explained why he is missing.
“It’s certainly a lot quieter in this studio today,” she said before explaining her colleague’s absence, adding that “it would definitely have to be something important – maybe an A-list charity gala” if Richards were to continue his work to skip.
Abdo then made a video of Richards participating in the British game show ‘A League of Their Own’ with Jamie Redknapp.
The hilarious clip shows ex-Man City star Richards clapping his hands before sliding onto his stomach.

“He chose that over Champions League football!” exclaimed his CBS colleague Jamie Carragher.
“Seriously?” asked Thierry Henry.
“What a clown,” Carragher added. “He would do anything for money, that man.”
Richards’ absence means he won’t be in the studio for Manchester United vs. Bayern Munich, while Real Madrid played earlier in the day and defeated Union Berlin 1-0.
Arsenal will also face PSV in the Champions League return, while Inter Milan will visit Real Sociedad.
