Mia Plecic and her partner Justin Borg tied the knot in a stunning Italian wedding, but their happy day was marred by controversy over her wedding dress.

The influencer, 32, shared images of the romantic day on the Amalfi Coast on Instagram on Tuesday, flaunting the flower-embroidered dress she wore for her big day.

However, the mother of one was called by Frank Podcast for allegedly abandoning a ‘counter deal’ she struck with Melbourne bridal boutique Champery Couture.

“It is believed that Mia supposedly made a deal with the boutique but never came to pick up the dress,” said host sisters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber.

Mia announced on June 1 that the Chapel Street bridal company had begun work on her wedding dress, sharing a glimpse of the hand-beaded gown, but “did not specify whether this was a paid or gifted partnership.”

Just a few months later, when Mia started posting about her lavish European vacation before her wedding, Champery Couture unfollowed the Slick Hair co-founder on Instagram.

In August, the bridal company shared a video of a wedding dress, which featured a beaded corset and flowing ‘100% Italian silk’ skirts and looked similar to the dress Mia had teased months earlier.

Along with the Instagram clip, Champery Couture revealed that the dress had been “custom made for someone,” but said person did not wear it.

Mia was criticized by Outspoken Podcast for allegedly walking away from a 'counter deal' she struck with Melbourne bridal boutique Champery Couture (the dress they designed is pictured)

The influencer shared images of the dress she actually wore on her wedding day (left), while Daily Mail Australia obtained images of the other dress designed by Champery Couture (right).

Images of the Champery Couture-designed dress, seen by Daily Mail Australia, show it features an extravagant pearl and beaded bodice with a tiered flowing skirt.

Photos shared on social media showed the dress Mia wore at her wedding, which features a plunging neckline and floral embroidery along the bust and chiffon skirts, and looks nothing like the dress she originally showed off in June.

Champery Couture confirmed on Instagram and to Daily Mail Australia that Mia was the influencer referenced in the post they made about the abandoned dress.

“We have received questions about the situation involving Ms. Plecic,” a spokesperson began in a message alongside images of the dress the company designed for Mia.

‘Please note that the dress worn (at Mia’s wedding) was NOT one of our dresses. We can confirm that we created a beautiful dress for Mrs Plecic, which she approved of at every stage.’

They went on to say that Mia did not wear the dress they designed for her wedding and added that they are in talks with their lawyers to address the current issue with Mia.

‘All funds recovered from the dress situation will be donated to @bullyzero. “We will soon do a photo shoot with this beautiful dress,” they added.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Mia for comment.

The Outspoken Podcast claimed that Champery Couture and Mia’s posts pointed to a contrary agreement, the exchange of services and goods without monetary compensation, that went wrong.

The turn of events left Champery Couture scrambling to find an alternative buyer earlier this year.

In August, the company posted an Instagram post asking followers if they had any ideas what to do with the dress Mia allegedly decided not to wear on her wedding day.

‘We have our legal team on this next week, but we wanted to ask everyone what they think about how we should get rid of this robe.

‘We made this custom dress which is a unique design. Unfortunately, we have lost thousands… and we would like to recover funds for this dress…

‘It is 100% Italian silk, approximately size 20 for bust and hips and size 14 to 16 for waist. Any funds we recover, we would like to donate to charity. Any ideas?
