A Miami woman was seen screaming in pain and urging police officers to “get that bitch” after both of her arms were mauled by a dog while she was walking her Yorkie, Ponchita.

The shocking aftermath of the March 11 attack in West Palm Beach was caught on video and showed Liliana Marbles bleeding and clutching her small dog to her chest as she spoke to police.

Marbles was walking to a nearby 7-Eleven when a pit bull, named Diamond, ran up to her and latched onto her arm, trying to reach Ponchita.

The pit bull’s owner pulled the dog away and ran with it around the corner, in what she claimed was an attempt to calm the dog down.

Police arrived and a crying Marbles shouted at them to “go get that bitch” – meaning the vicious dog – before she was taken to hospital with serious injuries to her arms and cuts to her body .

The pit bull was seized by animal control following the mutilation.

The shocking attack happened on the morning of March 11.

Marbles said she was walking to the 7-Eleven when she saw a pit bull about 30 yards away that appeared to be off-leash.

She told NBC Miami:’I see a lady with a pit bull. But I didn’t even pay attention to her, because who could have imagined that something would happen?

Then she heard screams, she said: “All of a sudden I hear a bark, and I hear a cry: ‘Hold your dog!’ I turn around and see an animal coming.

She said the pit bull then lunged at her and Ponchita, so she quickly picked Ponchita up. According to West Palm Beach police, Marbles was then knocked down and the pit bull was strapped into her arms.

A passerby intervened and kicked the pit bull to stop the attack, before calling 911.

Police arrived to help Marbles who was screaming and crying, bleeding from both arms.

Bodycam footage showed an officer taking Ponchita from him to bandage her – as she told him to go catch the pit bull. He replied, “My sergeant will go get him.”

The first responder is seen taking a first aid kit out of the police car, before carefully stopping Marbles’ bleeding while trying to calm her down.

He also placed his little Yorkie in the backseat of the police car during the ordeal.

Frantic Marbles, who was crying and whimpering, was also on the phone with someone at the same time, remembering his horrific encounter with the pit bull.

Police body camera footage showed officers finding the pit bull’s owner, Amanda Bethea, 38, sitting at the corner of the scene of the attack.

She told them that Diamond was two years old and had just lost weight “a few weeks ago.” She said she had it on a leash, but it “slipped out of her hands.”

The owner said: “I was holding her, she snatched me out of my hands… she’s strong.” The lady picked up her dog, I hit her, I hit my dog ​​to make her stop.

“I’m screaming for someone to call 911, please call the police. And I went around the building, I just wanted to hide because she was freaking out.

“All I did was get out of sight, and a man was threatening me and chasing me. All I wanted to do was get her out of sight because it excited her, the dog.

She added: “I punched her, I hit her to get her down, to try to get her back.”

Diamond was impounded by Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, pending their investigation.

Marbles was taken to the hospital where she underwent surgery. She is expected to need more than three months of physiotherapy and recovery.
